Overview

You will own the valuation, financial reporting, and risk analysis of Commercial Mortgage Servicing Rights (CMSR), a significant balance sheet asset at PNC, a top-10 U.S. bank. You will build financial models and drive P&L attribution to support decisions on acquisitions and bidding. You will collaborate with business partners, valuation experts, and senior stakeholders to automate reporting and strengthen model governance. This role expands into RMSR Valuations and Price Testing, providing exposure to complex balance sheet management within a large financial institution.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build and maintain valuation models for CMSR assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • 2Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reports for CMSR and related financial line items.
  • 3Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging trends and risks within the commercial real estate portfolio.
  • 4Conduct P&L attribution analysis to explain changes in fair value and performance metrics.
  • 5Support key business decisions related to servicing rights acquisitions and bidding activities.
  • 6Collaborate with model risk management, internal and external audit, and regulators during reviews and remediation.
  • 7Automate reporting processes using Python, VBA, Hyperion, Essbase, or Oracle to improve efficiency.
  • 8Perform model monitoring, back-testing, and documentation to strengthen model governance practices.
  • 9Contribute to stress testing efforts and prepare presentations for senior leadership.

Requirements7

  • 13+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle, Python, or VBA.
  • 4Knowledge of Credit Risk Analysis and Asset and Liability Management (ALM).
  • 5Familiarity with Cash Flow Statements and Revenue Recognition.
  • 6Experience in Public Accounting or within a financial services organization.
  • 7Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
