Backroom Coordinator, Retail Operations at TJ Maxx
Overview
You own backroom operations at a high-volume TJ Maxx store, coordinating truck delivery and merchandise flow to the sales floor. You direct a team of Associates, setting priorities and coaching for efficiency. Reporting to the Store Manager, you partner with the Coordinator on Duty to keep the store fully stocked. This role develops your leadership skills in a Fortune 100 retail environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing merchandise processing to the sales floor
- 2Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles
- 3Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
- 4Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods
- 5Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary
- 6Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
- 7Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom
- 8Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
- 9Support store shrink reduction goals and programs
Requirements8
- 11 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
- 2Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- 3Superior communication and organizational skills
- 4Capable of multi-tasking
- 5Able to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- 6Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- 7Capable of lifting heavy objects
