Azure Platform Support Engineer, Houston
Overview
5+ years hands-on Azure engineer owning deployment, configuration, and support for business-critical Commercial and ETRM/CTRM applications hosted on Microsoft Azure. Partner with vendor architects and internal teams to master application dependencies and operational requirements. Drive automation and performance tuning across Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability for market data systems. This role offers deep exposure to trading and energy systems in a fast-paced Houston environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deploy and configure Azure resources for ETRM/CTRM and Market Data applications.
- 2Automate infrastructure provisioning with ARM templates and PowerShell.
- 3Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using Azure Monitor and App Insights.
- 4Coordinate with vendors to install patches and upgrades in Azure environments.
- 5Manage identity and access with Azure Active Directory and RBAC.
- 6Optimize cost and performance by right-sizing VMs and storage.
- 7Document runbooks and operational procedures for critical systems.
- 8Participate in on-call rotation for production incidents.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of experience as an Azure platform or cloud engineer.
- 2Proficiency in PowerShell and ARM templates for Infrastructure as Code.
- 3Hands-on experience with ETRM/CTRM applications (e.g., Allegro, RightAngle).
- 4Deep understanding of Azure networking, security, and monitoring services.
- 5Experience troubleshooting .NET or Java applications on Azure.
- 6Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Key Vault.
- 7Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX.
