Overview

Avionics technicians install and troubleshoot aircraft systems on a diverse corporate fleet, ensuring compliance with FAA data and repair station guidelines. You will work onsite in Charlotte, collaborating with a fast-paced maintenance team to support multiple aircraft types including Global Express, Gulfstream, Challenger, Citation, Phenom 300, and King Air models. This role emphasizes accuracy in documentation and safe, high-quality repairs in a Service Hub and A.O.G. environment. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and perform maintenance on a variety of corporate aircraft avionics systems, ensuring wiring, instruments, and electronic components meet specifications
  • 2Design and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics to determine repair or replacement methods and ensure regulatory compliance
  • 3Install, repair, and troubleshoot avionics components using calibrated testing equipment and multimeters to diagnose issues
  • 4Ship and document all maintenance activities, RTS paperwork, and airworthiness records with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • 5Own coordination with supervisors, MCC, and maintenance control to communicate changes in aircraft status and availability
  • 6Scale maintenance operations to meet time-sensitive A.O.G. and Service Hub requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • 7Debug avionics and electrical systems to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes
  • 8Drive shop organization and documentation workflows to support orderly maintenance and reporting
  • 9Lead coverage for phones and maintenance communications when supervisors are not present
  • 10Improve efficiency by utilizing Microsoft Office and Apple products for documentation and reporting

Requirements10

  • 1Hands-on experience as an avionics technician installing, repairing, and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems
  • 2Proficiency in avionics installation including wiring, component mounting, and system integration
  • 3Strong troubleshooting skills with avionics and aircraft systems using multimeters and calibrated test equipment
  • 4Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and schematics
  • 5Demonstrated capability to multi-task and follow directions in a fast-paced maintenance environment
  • 6Experience servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, engines, and associated components
  • 7High level of accuracy and thoroughness in completing maintenance, work orders, and RTS documentation
  • 8Effective communication skills for timely updates to supervisors, site representatives, and maintenance control
  • 9Positive safety-focused attitude and commitment to quality maintenance and meeting performance goals
  • 10Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple software products for documentation and communication
