Autonomous GSE Operator, Airport Tractors
Overview
You will operate autonomous airport tractors at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, moving live cargo across the airfield. Your supervision directly improves the performance and safety of our technology. You'll work side-by-side with our engineering team, providing crucial feedback on vehicle behavior and testing new features. This is a hands-on role in a Series A company transforming ground handling with autonomy, backed by top-tier aviation and autonomous driving investors.
What You'll Do6
- 1Operate autonomous vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, including supervising and manually driving autonomous baggage tugs to and from storage depots.
- 2Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics during shifts.
- 3Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of vehicles and their hardware systems.
- 4Collaborate with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features on live cargo routes.
- 5Interface with ground crew and airline staff as cargo and baggage are loaded and unloaded.
- 6Provide expert input on vehicle performance and help resolve complex driving scenarios.
Requirements7
- 13+ years driving experience with a valid US Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- 2Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments, such as airfields or industrial sites.
- 3Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role, demonstrating superior responsibility.
- 4Reliable and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- 5Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor autonomous vehicle performance.
- 6Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- 7Must pass federal background checks and receive and maintain an airport security badge.
