Technical Support Specialist, Autonomous Vehicles
Overview
You will troubleshoot and triage technical issues for a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle fleet in Austin, TX. Supporting daily operations across multiple shifts, you will ensure fleet readiness through startup/shutdown procedures, charging, and dispatch coordination. Reporting to the operations lead, you will work alongside engineers and other specialists to resolve issues and escalate when needed. This role offers hands-on experience with autonomous vehicle technology and a direct path to grow in fleet operations and technical support.
What You'll Do6
- 1Troubleshoot and triage technical and vehicle-related issues using Unix/Linux command line and log review.
- 2Support vehicle dispatch and fleet readiness by monitoring charging and system status.
- 3Perform vehicle startup and shutdown procedures, verifying operational safety.
- 4Execute basic vehicle maintenance and minor technical troubleshooting on-site.
- 5Document issues and escalate to engineering teams via Slack, Jira, and ticketing systems.
- 6Respond promptly to operational, technical, and safety incidents, including moving or driving vehicles as needed.
Requirements8
- 11+ year in technical support, operations support, or fleet support.
- 2Valid driver's license held for 3+ years with confident driving in varied conditions.
- 3Experience with vehicle dispatch, fleet readiness, and startup/shutdown procedures.
- 4Basic vehicle maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- 5Comfortable using Unix/Linux command line and reviewing logs.
- 6Strong computer skills and proficiency with Slack and ticketing systems like Jira or YouTrack.
- 7Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site around vehicles.
- 8Comfortable with the $20-$24/hr pay range.
