Overview
Join Island Kia as a Military Veteran to start your career as an Automotive Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). What You'll Do11
- 1Diagnose and repair Kia vehicles including engines transmissions steering suspension brakes HVAC and electrical systems
- 2Perform vehicle inspections diagnostics and mechanical repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures
- 3Complete repair orders and warranty documentation according to Kia and dealership policies
- 4Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality using appropriate diagnostic tools
- 5Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen to ensure positive customer experience
- 6Maintain a safe organized and efficient work environment following dealership safety procedures
- 7Honorably discharge from U.S. Military Service
- 8Provide a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 9Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- 10Work in a fast-paced dealership service environment
- 11Complete background check and drug screening
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of professional mechanical experience
- 3Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 4ASE certifications or technical training (a plus)
- 5Kia VTAP Apprenticeship Highlights including full-time employment with a participating Kia retailer and eligibility for Monthly Housing Allowance
