Automotive Service Technician, GPS & Dash Cameras
Overview
You will install and maintain GPS trackers, ELD devices, and dash cameras for commercial fleets across Tampa and Lakeland. You'll work independently, set your own hours, and return home each night. Join a small team focused on 12V accessory installations for vehicles from light duty to heavy duty. What You'll Do8
- 1Install GPS trackers, ELD devices, and dash cameras on fleet vehicles in the Tampa and Lakeland areas.
- 2Troubleshoot and repair installed equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- 3Wire and integrate 12V systems, including custom accessories for heavy duty trucks, boats, and motorcycles.
- 4Perform remote starts and alarm installations for clients with legacy experience.
- 5Manage your daily schedule and route to maximize coverage and client satisfaction.
- 6Document each installation with photos and notes for fleet managers.
- 7Train new technicians on proper installation techniques and safety protocols.
- 8Maintain inventory of parts and tools to minimize downtime.
Requirements8
- 12+ years experience in automotive electronics, car audio, or alarm installation.
- 2Proficiency with 12V electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
- 3Experience with GPS tracking devices and ELD compliance systems is a plus.
- 4Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- 5Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 6Own basic hand tools and a multimeter.
- 7Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- 8Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.
