Autism Support Specialist, In-Home ABA Therapy
Overview
You will deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in clients' homes across Hawthorne, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills to children aged 3-17. Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center provides paid RBT training, mentorship from BCBAs, and a supportive team culture. This contract role offers flexible afternoon and evening hours, paid mileage, and a path to RBT certification.
What You'll Do8
- 1Implement individualized treatment plans designed by BCBAs during 1:1 ABA therapy sessions
- 2Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills using ABA techniques
- 3Reduce challenging behaviors through positive, evidence-based strategies and data collection
- 4Collect session data and complete clinical documentation in a timely manner
- 5Collaborate with supervising clinicians to adjust strategies and track progress
- 6Communicate professionally with families and caregivers, providing updates and guidance
- 7Attend ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions to enhance skills
- 8Travel up to 25 miles from home to client sessions, managing schedule and mileage
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 2Availability for at least 15 hours per week, with afternoon and evening shifts between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
- 3Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
- 4Willingness to travel up to 25 miles from home for client sessions
- 5Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
- 6Comfort learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques
- 7Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
- 8Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
