Attorney – Corporate Functions at Bank of America
Overview
You will drive Operational Excellence initiatives in the Legal Department, shaping and executing the outside counsel strategy. You will work across Legal, Finance, Tech, and Risk teams to integrate AI into workflows and improve vendor management. You will provide practical guidance on policy and operations, influencing stakeholders to achieve strategic goals. This role centers on data-driven process improvement and stakeholder management.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive Operational Excellence initiatives to enhance legal operations processes and increase efficiencies.
- 2Identify opportunities to integrate AI into internal and outside counsel workflows.
- 3Manage or collaborate on cross-functional initiatives with Legal, Finance, Tech, Risk and other Business Enablement groups.
- 4Provide practical guidance on policy and operational questions from Legal Department colleagues.
- 5Work closely with vendor management to reduce risk.
- 6Lead projects to evaluate and improve existing outside counsel management practices.
- 7Influence stakeholders to drive effective execution of strategic initiatives.
Requirements7
- 1J.D. and admission to at least one state bar required.
- 25+ years of in-house and/or law firm experience.
- 3Ability to manage multiple projects with short deadlines and attention to detail.
- 4Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, including making presentations.
- 5Analytical and able to manage competing priorities.
- 6Bring multiple stakeholders together, drive decision consensus, and demonstrate personal courage.
- 7Prior experience with financial management, project management, governance, and operations is a plus.
