Associate Scientist Neuroprotection and Resilience
Overview
Lead discovery and validation of therapies for neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s and ALS. Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments using iPSC cells and animal models. Analyze data and communicate findings. Drive lab workflow improvements with automation and AI.
What You'll Do6
- 1Establish and maintain human iPSC-based cell cultures to support compound and antibody screening
- 2Measure compound exposure from mouse and NHP tissues and assess pathway modulation using ELISA Western blotting and related methods
- 3Support in vivo studies evaluating compound pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics across IP PO and IV routes
- 4Design and execute experiments with scientific rigor analyzing data and communicating findings through presentations reports and team discussions
- 5Develop new lab workflows integrating automation and AI while collaborating across matrixed research environments
- 6Contribute to advancing novel drug candidates from early discovery through preclinical development toward clinical stages
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
- 2Minimum 1 year relevant laboratory experience in academic or industry settings
- 3Proficiency with in vitro models and tools beyond basic requirements
- 4Experience with animal research including rodent models and tissue collection/dosing
- 5Strong organizational and communication skills
- 6Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- 7Interest in participating in daily group and laboratory functions
