Overview
We seek an Associate to lead finance and deposit operations at an independent banking firm in Roseville Minnesota. This hybrid role blends accounting duties with hands‑on support enabling you to manage invoices, reconcile accounts, produce month‑end reports, and oversee fixed assets. You will partner with finance and operations leaders to guarantee accurate reporting and compliance while providing backup for routine tasks and learning new banking tools.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage the complete invoice payment workflow including expense coding and scheduled disbursements
- 2Review correspondent bank statements and ledger entries to spot and correct variances
- 3Generate monthly financial summaries and supporting schedules for management review
- 4Maintain records for fixed assets depreciation prepaid items and accrued expenses ready for audit
- 5Conduct control reviews of investment and securities activity with secondary verification
- 6Analyze daily operational reports and distribute key banking outputs such as account activity and closed listings
- 7Backup core finance and deposit functions and cross‑train with teammates for coverage
- 8Audit domestic and international wire transfers for accuracy before final sign‑off
- 9Apply internal policies and banking regulations to all tasks to sustain compliance
- 10Collaborate with finance and operations leadership on evolving departmental needs
- 11Support priority initiatives as business demands shift
Requirements9
- 1Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience with minimum two years in bank accounting AP or related finance operations preferred
- 2Strong grasp of accounting principles financial reporting and banking regulatory requirements
- 3Proven expertise in reconciliations general ledger activity expense coding fixed asset tracking and income statement assistance
- 4Excellent attention to detail ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
- 5Willingness to work independently exercise judgment and take initiative while cooperating across departments
- 6Clear verbal and written communication skills to explain accounting matters clearly
- 7Proficiency with modern banking software and quick adaptation to new digital payment platforms
- 8Experience with variance analysis and resolution of operational exceptions
