Associate Attorney, Class Action Litigation & Antitrust
Overview
You will own litigation strategy for high-stakes plaintiffs' side cases, including class action employment discrimination, antitrust price-fixing, and qui tam matters, at a boutique firm with a casual, fully remote culture. You will collaborate with partners on briefs, discovery, and depositions, and travel about 20 times per year to deliver antitrust counseling at share group meetings in desirable East Coast locations. This role offers significant bonus potential based on performance and firm results, with a salary range of $95,000-$150,000.
What You'll Do8
- 1Draft and file briefs, motions, and memoranda for class action employment discrimination and antitrust cases.
- 2Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests, and organizing documents and exhibits.
- 3Assist with depositions and trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit management.
- 4Travel to share group meetings (approximately 20 per year) to provide antitrust counseling on compliance and litigation risks.
- 5Conduct legal research on complex issues, including class certification, Rule 23, and Daubert standards.
- 6Review and analyze discovery documents for privilege and relevance, using e-discovery tools.
- 7Support partners through all litigation phases, from case inception through appeal.
- 8Develop case strategies for qui tam matters under the False Claims Act.
Requirements8
- 11-2+ years litigation experience, preferably in employment discrimination, antitrust, or complex commercial litigation.
- 2Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school, graduating in the top 25% of class.
- 3Strong research and writing skills, demonstrated through a writing sample.
- 4Active bar membership in at least one state (or pending).
- 5Clerkship experience preferred, either federal or state.
- 6Willingness to travel 20 times per year, with meetings clustered in fall and spring.
- 7Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong time management and communication skills.
- 8Familiarity with Rule 23 class actions and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
