What You'll Do11
- 1Lead and coordinate daily operations of the Operating Room Neuro unit under the Nurse Manager's direction providing clinical and administrative oversight
- 2Develop and implement evidence-based practices ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance
- 3Conduct monthly unit conferences and annual performance appraisals including peer feedback and professional development planning
- 4Promote nursing specialty certifications and foster a culture of continuous learning through quarterly check-ins
- 5Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to eliminate barriers and advance shared governance initiatives
- 6Drive operational excellence through quality improvement methodologies and regulatory readiness efforts
- 7Manage budget performance monitoring and address overtime utilization with proper documentation
- 8Ensure alignment with organizational patient experience goals through collaborative departmental planning
- 9Participate in strategic planning processes contributing to departmental and network-wide objectives
- 10Mentor staff through coaching and facilitate attendance at educational programs and grand rounds
- 11Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with three years of clinical leadership experience
- 2Current Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC
- 3Master’s Degree preferred along with national certification such as CPC Card or BCBA
- 4Minimum 5+ years of specialized experience in neuro critical care or similar intensive settings
- 5Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced clinical environments
- 6Strong knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes for cloud infrastructure management
- 7Experience with Spark and Airflow for data pipeline development
- 8Familiarity with React for patient portal development
- 9Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
- 10Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh with flexible scheduling
