RN Surgical Procedures Unit Part Time Allegheny General Hospital
Overview
Responsible RN will own care for a designated patient population at Allegheny General Hospital. This part time position offers rotational shifts across a high volume trauma center. You will lead patient management while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional surgical outcomes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Demonstrate clinical assessment skills and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process
- 2Provide safe evidence based care meeting regulatory standards for our surgical patient base
- 3Lead patient care activities and direct team performance during 48 hour rotational shifts
- 4Collaborate with physicians and specialists to create comprehensive treatment plans
- 5Educate patients and families based on cultural competence and readiness to learn
- 6Conduct thorough assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records
- 7Maintain sterile technique and infection control protocols during all patient interactions
- 8Analyze patient data to identify trends and improve care delivery pathways
- 9Participate in quality improvement initiatives and share best practices with peers
- 10Ensure proper documentation of all interventions and patient responses
- 11Advocate for patient safety and advocate for optimal clinical outcomes
Requirements10
- 15+ years experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care settings
- 2AWS Certified cloud computing professional preferred
- 3CPC Card certification preferred for clinical informatics roles
- 4Spark and Airflow proficiency demonstrated
- 5ISO 13485 knowledge beneficial for healthcare technology environments
- 6Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from accredited program
- 7Current Pennsylvania RN license or multi state licensure through eNLC
- 8Background check clearance including Act 34 and Act 33 requirements
- 9FBI fingerprinting completed for security clearance
- 10Valid CPR certification current
