Assistant Manager, Retail & Food Program
Overview
You will own store operations alongside the Store Manager, driving daily execution across staffing, merchandising, and customer service at a high-volume Circle K station. You will lead a team of 10-15 employees, handle recruiting and bookkeeping, and keep our food program running at peak standards. This role builds your management career with fast promotion paths and paid training in a flexible, full-time schedule.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive daily store operations including staffing, merchandising, and cash handling while maintaining Circle K standards.
- 2Recruit, interview, and hire new team members to build a high-performing staff.
- 3Supervise and coach employees on customer service, food safety, and loss prevention.
- 4Execute the food program so every item meets our freshness and speed benchmarks.
- 5Own bookkeeping accuracy: reconcile cash, deposits, and inventory logs.
- 6Plan and lead team huddles to hit daily sales and service goals.
- 7Resolve customer issues with empathy and urgency, setting the service example.
- 8Maintain store appearance and equipment readiness, including safety checks and maintenance.
Requirements7
- 11+ years retail or management experience leading a team.
- 26+ months supervising or managing staff, including recruiting and hiring.
- 3Cash handling and bookkeeping experience with precise reconciliation.
- 4Experience with food service or food safety handling.
- 5High School diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
- 6Stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 30 lbs regularly, 60 lbs occasionally.
- 7Flexible availability: days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
