The Assistant General Manager oversees daily operations in Kansas City Missouri reporting directly to the General Manager. This role manages routes staff and budgets ensuring compliance with policies. What You'll Do9
- 1Supervise daily activities of all operators and coordinate supervisor and dispatch personnel
- 2Oversee scheduling of operators monitor operations and coordinate delivery of service
- 3Work closely with maintenance department to meet operation service requirements
- 4Track compile and analyze performance handle interdepartmental issues resolve employee grievances improve processes and route scheduling
- 5Make hiring decisions evaluate staff performance ensure timely completion of tasks assist in accident investigations coordinate with safety and training departments
- 6Develop Operations department budget May operate vehicle in revenue service if necessary
- 7Maintain compliance with all company policies and budgetary plans
- 8Coordinate with safety training personnel and support safety goals
- 9Ensure adherence to transit system regulations and operations
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- 2Class B commercial driver license with passenger and air brake endorsements or ability to obtain them
- 33 or more years supervisory experience required
- 4Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and relevant database programs
