Overview
Join ENTEK in Henderson Nevada to become an Assistant Controller leading manufacturing accounting and financial strategy. You will own the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process ensure accurate U.S. GAAP reporting oversee manufacturing accounting and project accounting apply ASC 606 revenue recognition analyze performance metrics and drive profitability through process improvements collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor staff.
What You'll Do13
- 1Lead the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process ensuring timely and accurate U.S. GAAP financial reporting
- 2Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations accruals estimates and management reporting
- 3Oversee manufacturing accounting including standard costing inventory valuation labor and overhead absorption production variances scrap yield and inventory reserves
- 4Manage project accounting from contract setup through closeout including budgets forecasting profitability analysis and change order accounting
- 5Administer percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- 6Analyze key manufacturing performance metrics such as labor efficiency material usage purchase price variance inventory turns gross margins and operational performance
- 7Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve plant profitability and support capital investment decisions
- 8Prepare budgets financial forecasts and operational analyses to support business planning
- 9Maintain and strengthen internal controls while supporting annual external audits
- 10Lead ERP optimization automation and financial process improvement initiatives
- 11Support software implementations and continuous improvement projects across the Finance organization
- 12Develop coach mentor and support accounting team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- 13Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision making
Requirements16
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of progressive accounting experience including at least three years supporting manufacturing operations
- 3U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition knowledge
- 4manufacturing accounting cost accounting inventory accounting and standard costing experience
- 5project accounting and percentage-of-completion accounting background
- 6ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX D365 SAP or Oracle
- 7Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- 8analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities
- 9written and verbal communication skills
- 10ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 11Certified Public Accountant CPA designation preferred
- 12Certified Management Accountant CMA certification is a plus
- 13Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
- 14Proven ability to lead ERP implementations or financial process improvement initiatives
- 15Experience developing and mentoring accounting professionals
