Armed Security Officer, Part Time Mobile Patrol
Overview
You will own armed patrol and incident response for retail clients in Austin, TX, operating part time on weekends. You will conduct routine and random patrols of storefronts, parking areas, and loading zones, maintain a visible presence to deter theft and trespassing, and respond to alarms and disturbances. You will work alongside a team of security professionals and coordinate with local law enforcement, reporting to site supervisors. This role offers schedule flexibility through the Claim a Shift platform and paid training for career advancement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter on a random schedule with Sidearm and Body Camera to deter theft and trespassing.
- 2Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances with calm, professional, and problem-solving tactics, following CPR and emergency protocols.
- 3Monitor access points and observe activity for security concerns, reporting hazards via Incident Report software.
- 4Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and vendors while maintaining a welcoming environment.
- 5Carry authorized equipment per company policy and Texas Level III regulations.
- 6Document patrols and incidents in daily logs and submit reports to supervisors.
- 7Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services on critical situations.
- 8Complete ongoing training in Defensive Tactics and Firearm Safety.
Requirements8
- 13+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
- 221+ years of age.
- 3Hold Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5Pass background investigation and drug screen.
- 6Valid driver's license for patrol duties.
- 7Complete industry-specific security training.
- 8Ability to carry Firearm and OC Spray.
