What You'll Do8
- 1Select and place janitorial personnel, including hiring decisions and performance appraisals, within your first 30 days to build a reliable onsite team.
- 2Assign daily duties and inspect work to ensure cleanliness and completion, maintaining customer satisfaction scores above 90%.
- 3Design work schedules and labor budgets, keeping payroll within the assigned hourly target per account.
- 4Conduct new hire orientation, safety training, and job training to certify employees in proper OSHA and MSDS handling.
- 5Prepare and review time sheets, accident reports, and supply orders, auditing paperwork for accuracy each week.
- 6Resolve employee relations issues through coaching and counseling, reducing turnover by 15% in quarter one.
- 7Visit client accounts weekly to build relationships and identify upsell opportunities for additional services like floor care.
- 8Document customer contacts and complaints, then delegate resolutions to maintain a satisfaction rating of 4.5+ stars.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of management experience in a service industry, preferably janitorial or facilities maintenance.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business or facilities management preferred.
- 3Business-level fluency in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus for coordinating with diverse teams.
- 4Proven ability to multitask in high-traffic commercial environments, adapting to changing client needs.
