Overview
OnTrac seeks an Area Manager in Austin Texas to lead sort operations and drive improvements. This role reports to the Operations Manager and manages teams to boost efficiency. The position offers a competitive base pay range of $51,680 - $77,520 with additional benefits.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage and schedule Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers to meet quality and safety standards
- 2Monitor employee progress and provide feedback to improve performance
- 3Conduct pre-sort meetings to communicate daily goals and safety priorities
- 4Record and manage volume flow from Linehauls
- 5Execute administrative tasks such as safety training and audit documentation
- 6Maintain open communication with staff to foster engagement
- 7Identify operational improvements and implement changes
- 8Oversee shift scheduling flexibility for 24-hour operations
- 9Apply OSHA requirements in daily work practices
- 10Adapt to changing business needs and staffing demands
- 11Lead a team focused on enhancing business outcomes
Requirements10
- 1GED or Diploma required with Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2Minimum 2 years industry experience in logistics shipping or 3PL with 1 year leadership
- 3Ability to evaluate and summarize data effectively
- 4Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and math skills
- 5Strong communication and feedback skills
- 6Experience with hiring and training employees
- 7Knowledge of hiring processes and performance evaluations
- 8Empathy and problem-solving abilities
- 9Availability for onsite work in Austin Texas
- 10Flexibility for extended hours and weekend shifts
