Overview
Architectural Principal owns and grows a hospitality, casino, and gaming practice for a national design firm with 7 offices. Hybrid remote work 2 days remote, 3 days onsite in Phoenix, leading multidisciplinary teams on large complex projects. You will drive business development, client relationships, and project oversight while maintaining design quality and financial performance. This role blends leadership, client strategy, and technical excellence in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive business development efforts and grow the Hospitality, Casino, and Gaming practice through new client acquisition and strategic partnerships
- 2Cultivate and maintain relationships with developers, casino operators, tribal entities, hospitality brands, and key industry stakeholders
- 3Lead project pursuits, proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities
- 4Provide executive-level oversight of architectural projects, ensuring design quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance
- 5Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for long-term partnerships and repeat business
- 6Mentor and develop architectural staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- 7Represent the firm in the local market through networking, industry events, community engagement, and thought leadership initiatives
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- 215+ years of progressive experience in architecture, with significant experience in hospitality, casino, gaming, resort, entertainment, or mixed-use developments
- 3Demonstrated success generating revenue through business development, client acquisition, and relationship management
- 4Established network of contacts within the local market and relevant industry sectors
- 5Proven experience leading large, complex architectural projects and multidisciplinary teams
- 6Strong understanding of project financial management, contracts, and risk management
- 7Exceptional presentation, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

$140 - $180k per year
