Lead the technical strategy, integrating Esri ArcGIS Enterprise suites (Server, Portal, Online, Enterprise Geodatabases) with Hexagon Intergraph utilities mapping. Collaborate with platform, data, and field engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable GIS foundations. Drive the transition from legacy systems to modern, API-first geospatial solutions, shaping the grid's digital backbone. This role anchors the GIS discipline, influencing product roadmaps and operational standards from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design enterprise ArcGIS architectures that serve Energy & Utilities operations, covering electric, gas, water, and renewable domains.
- 2Lead deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise components: Server, Portal, Online, and Enterprise Geodatabases with high availability and disaster recovery.
- 3Integrate Hexagon Intergraph GIS systems into the Esri stack, enabling unified utility mapping workflows.
- 4Architect data models and integration patterns for network infrastructure, asset registry, and outage management.
- 5Drive security, performance, and scalability standards for geospatial services across cloud and on-premise environments.
- 6Guide migration of legacy GIS workloads, reducing downtime and data inconsistency.
- 7Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to Esri best practices.
- 8Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into GIS solution blueprints.
Requirements7
- 18+ years designing and implementing enterprise GIS architectures and solutions.
- 2In-depth expertise with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise: Server, Portal, Online, and Enterprise Geodatabases.
- 3Experience in Energy & Utilities environments supporting electric, gas, water, or renewable operations.
- 4Exposure to Hexagon Intergraph GIS technologies and related utility mapping solutions.
- 5Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API design, and data modeling.
- 6Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 7Proven track record of leading large-scale GIS implementations, with emphasis on scalability and performance.
