Apprentice Furniture Installer, Office II Entry Level
Overview
Apprentice Commercial Installer will work onsite in Minneapolis installing workspace stations such as cubicles and desks at client locations. You will join a team led by a trainer, usually in a crew of 5-10 people. The role offers long-term growth with benefits, annual raises, and a profit-sharing structure. This position emphasizes hands-on tool use and keeping pace with on-site schedules.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and install office furniture and workstation components at client sites within established timelines hand and power tools
- 2Ship and assemble cubicles desks and cabinets while verifying quality and alignment on site
- 3Lead teammates on small crews to complete installations safely and efficiently
- 4Participate in on-site briefings and follow blueprints and work orders to ensure accuracy blueprints
- 5Scale projects from initial setup to final hand-off with attention to detail and customer satisfaction
- 6Collaborate with project leads to resolve installation challenges and adjust plans as needed
- 7Document work performed and report issues or delays to supervisors
- 8Assist with inventory management and protecting client spaces during installation
- 9Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met
Requirements5
- 16 months of experience with hand/power tools and building products around the home or worksite
- 21+ months of experience reading blueprints or work orders
- 31+ years of experience in roles requiring standing for long periods and a sense of urgency
- 4Must own a car and hold a VALID driver's license
- 5Willingness to work onsite at multiple corporate locations in the Minneapolis area
Salary Insight
$37 - $40k per year
