Overview
Own end-to-end support for FICC RISK EOD applications at a Global Financial Institution. You will monitor trading systems, resolve critical incidents, and drive automation to improve stability. You will join a global team of engineers and business analysts, collaborating with trading desks and risk teams. This contract role offers direct exposure to high-stakes financial systems and a clear path to impact within the first 90 days.
What You'll Do7
- 1Monitor FICC RISK end-of-day batch processes, ensuring timely completion and escalating failures.
- 2Debug production issues across Linux and SQL environments, coordinating with developers and vendors.
- 3Automate repetitive monitoring tasks using Shell and Python scripts to reduce manual effort.
- 4Document incident resolution steps and create runbooks for the global support team.
- 5Drive root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
- 6Collaborate with risk and technology teams to validate daily risk reports and data integrity.
- 7Support release deployments and post-deployment verification for trading applications.
Requirements7
- 13+ years experience in application support or development within financial services.
- 2Strong knowledge of Linux command line and Shell scripting.
- 3Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis.
- 4Experience with SQL queries and relational databases.
- 5Familiarity with FICC products and end-of-day risk processes.
- 6Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- 7Ability to work in a global team across multiple time zones.
Salary Insight
$121 - $137k per year
