What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose aircraft systems using precision tools to prepare aircraft for flight
- 2Tear down, repair, rework, replace, and reassemble airframes and engines during maintenance events
- 3Troubleshoot turbine engines and perform run-ups to confirm performance
- 4Install service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines to maintain airworthiness
- 5Tow, move, and position aircraft safely during maintenance operations
- 6Assist in parts cleaning and preparation for assembly and inspection
- 7Perform 100 hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures per FAR 43
- 8Read blueprints and specifications for accurate component fabrication and repair
- 9Utilize measurement and testing equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure precision
- 10Maintain attention to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance during all tasks
Requirements5
- 1High school education or equivalent
- 2A&P License (required) or DD214 plus company-sponsored certification path
- 3Minimum 2 years’ experience in diversified jet and/or turboprop maintenance or airframe sheet metal; preferred 5 years
- 4Ability to obtain and maintain Airport Security Badge
- 5Knowledge of jet airframe and engine principles and reading blueprints
