What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain Android features supporting Earners' on-trip experiences from pickup to dropoff.
- 2Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- 3Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while learning Uber's mobile architecture and best practices.
- 4Participate in platform building and contribute to Uber's Android codebase.
- 5Review code, join design discussions, and engage in team rituals to grow technical skills.
- 6Diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues to improve app reliability and user trust.
- 7Contribute to feature experiments and data-informed product development.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of experience developing Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- 2Solid understanding of Android fundamentals, including Activities/Fragments, lifecycle, UI layouts, and networking.
- 3Experience working with Git and contributing code through reviews in a team environment.
- 4Strong learning mindset and interest in building products that support real-world workflows.
- 5Preferred: web application development experience or willingness to learn web development.
- 6Preferred: familiarity with modern Android development practices like Jetpack Compose.
- 7Preferred: experience consuming backend APIs and handling client-side performance or reliability issues.
- 8Preferred: exposure to experimentation, metrics, or data-informed product development.
Salary Insight
