Android Developer, Kotlin & Mobile App Development
Overview
Android Developer will own the full lifecycle of Kotlin-based apps for a cross-functional team. You will ship features from design to release, collaborating with backend engineers on Android SDK and Jetpack Compose tools. This role targets performance optimization and user experience in Plano, TX and Columbus, OH (onsite). You will work with RESTful APIs and Firebase to integrate real-time data. What You'll Do7
- 1Design and develop Kotlin-based Android applications using Android Studio and Jetpack Compose.
- 2Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features within the first 90 days.
- 3Write clean, well-tested code using JUnit and Espresso for unit and UI testing.
- 4Optimize application performance and user experience with Android Profiler and LeakCanary.
- 5Integrate backend services with Retrofit and Firebase to ensure seamless data flow.
- 6Work with backend engineers to implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
- 7Stay current with Android trends and technologies, applying Material Design guidelines.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin and Java.
- 22+ years working with Android SDK and Jetpack Compose in production apps.
- 31+ year building apps with RESTful APIs and Firebase.
- 4Proven experience with Android Studio and version control Git.
- 5Strong knowledge of Material Design and responsive layouts.
- 6Experience with JUnit and Espresso for unit and UI testing.
- 72+ years working in cross-functional teams with Agile methodologies.
