Overview
AMAP Certified DSP for Women's Residence Thurs-Saturday (3pm-9pm) Yedei Chesed New York, New York onsite payroll. This role provides personalized assistance ensuring safety and independence for residents through skilled support and compassionate care.
What You'll Do7
- 1Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living using Hoyer lifts when necessary
- 2Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs and reporting changes promptly
- 3Administer medications following care plans and ensure HIPAA compliance
- 4Maintain clean safe environment through cleaning and infection control protocols
- 5Support residents during community outings promoting social engagement
- 6Document care activities and develop personalized care plans
- 7Lead efforts to enhance quality of life for diverse residents
Requirements7
- 1Valid AMAP certification with active CPR and First Aid certification
- 2Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- 3Strong knowledge of patient observation medication administration and vital signs monitoring
- 4Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate mobility aids effectively
- 5Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
- 6Excellent communication skills and compassionate caregiving approach
- 7Prior experience with seniors or memory care preferred
