Aircraft Services Technician, Transient Aircraft UAE
Overview
Own aircraft ground handling and servicing for U.S. Air Force operations at an assigned UAE installation, supporting 24/7/365 flight line missions. Report to the Supervisor and execute marshaling, parking, servicing, turn-around, and departure tasks in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Technical Orders. Operate in a high-tempo, austere environment alongside a team of dedicated technicians. This role stands out for its direct impact on mission readiness in a critical theater.
What You'll Do10
- 1Marshal, park, and position aircraft per Technical Orders and airfield procedures, ensuring safe and accurate placement.
- 2Execute arrival and departure services including chocking, grounding, and positioning on the flight line.
- 3Conduct servicing operations such as fueling, towing, and ground support equipment connections to enable turn-around.
- 4Support aircraft launch and recovery with Supervisors and Airfield Management.
- 5Operate and maintain vehicles and support equipment, performing operator-level inspections and servicing.
- 6Enforce FOD prevention and tool control programs by inspecting the flight line and logging all tools.
- 7Document servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists to maintain operational traceability.
- 8Identify and report safety hazards, malfunctions, and operational issues to leadership immediately.
- 9Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, supporting a zero-harm environment.
- 10Complete training and qualification requirements to uphold certification standards and mission readiness.
Requirements8
- 13-5 years of experience in aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, or Transient Aircraft Services.
- 2Hands-on flight line or aircraft ground operations experience.
- 3Working knowledge of aircraft marshaling, ground handling procedures, and flight line safety.
- 4Proficiency in using ground support equipment such as tugs, towbars, and power units.
- 5U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- 6Familiarity with FOD programs, tool control, and safety compliance.
- 7Physical ability to work in austere conditions, including extreme heat and prolonged standing.
- 8Preferred: Prior U.S. Air Force TAS support or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
