Aircraft Mechanic, Heavy Maintenance & Airframe Repair
Overview
Aircraft Mechanic owns the full maintenance cycle for commercial narrow- and wide-body aircraft in a certified repair station. You will inspect, repair, and overhaul airframes and components while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. Work alongside a team of certified technicians in Marana, Arizona, where heavy maintenance projects run year-round. This role stands out with per diem for non-local candidates and a contract-to-hire path.
What You'll Do7
- 1Research technical data to guide disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components.
- 2Disassemble and inspect aircraft parts for wear, corrosion, or defects, then repair or replace damaged units.
- 3Repair and rebuild aircraft structures including wings, fuselage, rigging, and surface controls.
- 4Remove and install engines, adjusting and repairing components to match maintenance manuals.
- 5Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring and aircraft accessories.
- 6Complete identification tags and routing forms for removed units, logging entries in the Component Removal Log.
- 7Service aircraft by cleaning, greasing, moving parts, and checking brakes.
Requirements5
- 1Airframe certification required.
- 23–5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- 3Hands-on experience with commercial aircraft in heavy maintenance, line maintenance, or MRO environments.
- 4Experience working on wide body aircraft.
- 5Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and FAA regulations.
