AI Engineer, Copilot Studio & RAG Systems
Overview
You will design and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems for a major financial services firm, using Microsoft Copilot Studio and RAG architectures. You will own the full lifecycle from prototype to deployment, working with Azure AI Foundry, LangGraph, and Python. Your work will drive next-generation AI solutions with a strong governance component, setting the standard for AI engineering in the firm. This contract role offers the chance to shape AI strategy and tackle high-impact business problems.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and deploy agentic AI workflows with Microsoft Copilot Studio and LangGraph within the first 90 days.
- 2Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines over enterprise knowledge bases using Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI.
- 3Develop custom Python components for document parsing, chunking, and embedding pipelines.
- 4Create evaluation frameworks to measure answer accuracy, latency, and safety, using PyRIT and Azure ML.
- 5Collaborate with security teams to implement Azure Identity and Key Vault for secure access control.
- 6Document system architectures and best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- 7Troubleshoot and optimize performance of deployed AI services in Azure Kubernetes Service.
Requirements7
- 15+ years building AI solutions with Python and Azure OpenAI.
- 22+ years hands-on with Copilot Studio or Power Virtual Agents.
- 3Proficiency with LangGraph or AutoGen for agent orchestration.
- 4Experience deploying RAG systems with Azure AI Search and Azure Blob Storage.
- 5Strong understanding of Azure Identity, Key Vault, and RBAC for governance.
- 6Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC a minimum of 3 days per week.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
