Overview
Independently perform complex diagnostics service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. Provide direction or guidance from Service Manager Service Location Manager or Shop Foreman. This role offers a sign on bonus of $5000 expiring August 31 2026.
What You'll Do12
- 1Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
- 2Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians
- 3Conduct or support customer clinics
- 4Perform diagnostics and repairs in the field as required
- 5Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
- 6Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information
- 7Participate in JDU Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- 8Operate and maintain vehicles tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
- 9Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
- 10Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- 11Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- 12Participate in monthly branch and company on-call schedules as needed
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience with agricultural equipment
- 3High School Diploma GED or equivalent required Associates degree preferred
- 4Valid DOT Medical Card or be to obtain one
- 5Be to obtain a valid driver’s license
- 6Ability to drive service trucks
- 7Experience traveling to customer locations
- 8Preference for experience performing repairs using special tools following Technical Manual procedures
- 9Experience with mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road construction lawn or heavy equipment
- 10Preferred experience with basic computer functions and Service ADVISOR diagnostic tools
- 11Strong teamwork communication skills and cooperative work environment capability
