What You'll Do7

  • 1Lead and manage a classroom of 3rd–5th grade students in a dynamic afterschool setting
  • 2Plan and implement engaging academic support activities homework help and enrichment programs
  • 3Foster a safe inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
  • 4Supervise and mentor assistant teachers tutors or interns
  • 5Communicate regularly with parents guardians and program coordinators regarding student progress
  • 6Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
  • 7Ensure student safety and well-being throughout all program activities

Requirements5

  • 11–2 years of experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting
  • 2Strong classroom management and leadership skills
  • 3Ability to create engaging age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • 4Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students parents and staff
  • 5Pass background check and meet California childcare compliance requirements CPR First Aid certification preferred
