What You'll Do7
- 1Lead and manage a classroom of 3rd–5th grade students in a dynamic afterschool setting
- 2Plan and implement engaging academic support activities homework help and enrichment programs
- 3Foster a safe inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
- 4Supervise and mentor assistant teachers tutors or interns
- 5Communicate regularly with parents guardians and program coordinators regarding student progress
- 6Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
- 7Ensure student safety and well-being throughout all program activities
Requirements5
- 11–2 years of experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting
- 2Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- 3Ability to create engaging age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- 4Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students parents and staff
- 5Pass background check and meet California childcare compliance requirements CPR First Aid certification preferred
