LEAP seeks a warm energetic Kindergarten Room Lead to lead kindergarten group in Lincoln MA afterschool program. This hands-on role creates balanced fun structure creativity calm after school. What You'll Do12
- 1Lead the kindergarten room during daily afterschool programming
- 2Build strong positive relationships with children and create a welcoming sense of community
- 3Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts games outdoor play movement STEM imaginative play and special projects
- 4Create a consistent daily routine while recognizing kindergarteners sometimes need flexibility downtime or a change of pace
- 5Supervise children closely maintain a safe environment support snack time transitions cleanup bathroom breaks indoor/outdoor activities and dismissal
- 6Use positive developmentally appropriate approaches to behavior management and conflict resolution
- 7Encourage children to practice independence kindness problem-solving and cooperation
- 8Help children navigate friendships and social-emotional challenges starting kindergarten
- 9Communicate positively and professionally with parents and caregivers at pickup
- 10Maintain an organized inviting well-stocked classroom
- 11Report incidents injuries behavioral concerns or other important information to LEAP leadership
- 12Collaborate with other LEAP staff to create a consistent high-quality experience
