After Care Educator, TK-8th Grade Support
Overview
This role owns general supervision and support for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade during after-school hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. You'll plan recreational activities, assist with homework, and manage behavior using positive reinforcement. You'll work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with Wednesdays starting at 12:30 PM, at school sites in Concord, CA. What You'll Do8
- 1Supervise students from TK through 8th grade, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
- 2Plan and lead engaging recreational activities that foster creativity and teamwork.
- 3Assist students with homework and academic support, adapting to individual needs.
- 4Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage collaborative play.
- 5Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
- 6Maintain accurate attendance and incident records, documenting as required.
- 7Organize and oversee snack time and outdoor play, ensuring a clean and safe space.
- 8Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping the environment tidy and ready.
Requirements4
- 118+ years of age.
- 2Complete 3 hours of online training prior to start, including Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR.
- 3Authorization to work in the US.
- 4Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
