Lead orthopaedic patient care as an Advanced Practice Provider in a multi-site setting with an emphasis on foot and ankle care. You will support surgeons, travel to Chalfont and Doylestown, and maintain a Monday–Friday schedule with on call rotation. This role blends clinical evaluation, postoperative instruction, and educational collaboration with nursing and therapy staff. What You'll Do10

  • 1Assist physician during office hours, satellite offices, and hospital rounds to ensure timely flow of patients.
  • 2Perform hospital rounds for inpatients and provide coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of orthopedic care.
  • 3Participate in orthopaedic educational activities for hospital nursing and physical therapy staff.
  • 4Provide preoperative and postoperative instructions and respond to telephone inquiries.
  • 5Instruct patients and families regarding treatment and medications and dictate all encounters and medical necessity letters.
  • 6Complete forms for Workmans Comp and Disability and prepare discharge letters and post op calls to referring physicians.
  • 7Review charts preoperatively and document pertinent information and coordinate with homecare services.
  • 8Rotate with residents and nursing staff covering on call schedules and communicate with outside physicians regarding patient care.
  • 9Prescribe medications and maintain clear prescription communication with RI physicians and other consultations.
  • 10Support research activities as needed and exemplify Rothman values and culture.

Requirements9

  • 1Active Physician Assistant license and active CPR certification
  • 2Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • 3Willingness to travel to Chalfont and Doylestown, PA and work in Willow Grove, PA
  • 4Experience in orthopaedics or surgical patient care preferred
  • 5Strong documentation and communication skills
  • 6Ability to manage post op instructions and patient education
  • 7Onsite work schedule Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with on call rotation
  • 8Demonstrated commitment to patient satisfaction and workflow efficiency
  • 9COVID-19 vaccination or approved accommodation
