Activities Assistant, Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation
Overview
This role supports patient activity programs in an inpatient post acute setting for a 5 star facility. You will help patients engage in group and individual activities to promote well being and recovery and work with a collaborative team.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead patient activity sessions to enhance wellbeing and recovery
- 2Design engaging, inclusive activities for diverse patient needs
- 3Assist with coordination of activity schedules and events
- 4Track participation and outcomes to inform care plans
- 5Support leadership in creating a positive, family like culture
- 6Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to integrate activities into care plans
- 7Maintain a clean and safe activity space with infection control practices
- 8Provide compassionate, patient centered support during activities
- 9Document patient responses and progress for care team
- 10Engage families and caregivers to encourage participation and home exercises
Requirements5
- 1high school diploma or equivalent
- 2ability to work a schedule that includes Thursday to Monday shifts and weekends
- 3strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 4patient, family and team oriented mindset
- 5ability to stand, walk and assist with activity setup for 8 hour shifts
Salary Insight
$33 - $35k per year
