Activities Assistant CNA, Bi-Lingual Spanish Weekends
Overview
You will own resident engagement at Palmetto Care Center, planning and running activities that lift physical, emotional, and social well-being. Working weekends from 10a to 6:30p, you will support a team of nurses and therapists in a sub-acute care setting. This role combines your CNA skills with creative program design, offering direct impact on resident quality of life. You will build trust with residents and families while collaborating across departments to deliver personalized care.
What You'll Do8
- 1Plan and lead daily activities like games, arts and crafts, music, and entertainment for residents.
- 2Monitor resident participation and provide one-on-one support to those who need extra help.
- 3Collaborate with nursing staff to design and adjust individualized care plans that include activity goals.
- 4Document each resident's activity participation and progress in their care records.
- 5Assist residents with daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, using CNA techniques.
- 6Communicate with families and staff to keep them informed about resident engagement and well-being.
- 7Adapt activities to accommodate varied physical and cognitive abilities, ensuring everyone can join.
- 8Drive a calendar of events that balances fun, therapy, and social connection for all residents.
Requirements5
- 11+ year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a current certification.
- 2Bi-lingual Spanish and English required for resident and family communication.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Part-time schedule, working weekends from 10a to 6:30p.
- 5Pass a background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse, as required by House Bill 531.
