Activities Assistant Boston
Overview
We seek an Activities Assistant to create engaging experiences for residents at Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Our mission focuses on enhancing social emotional physical and intellectual well being through meaningful interactions. This part-time role offers daily pay of $17 hour for a 10 am to 6 pm schedule every other weekend.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and implement recreational social educational and community programs that promote resident satisfaction
- 2Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes
- 3Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align activities with resident care goals
- 4Observe and report changes in resident moods behaviors or interests
- 5Assist with community outreach and event promotion
- 6Prepare and organize activity spaces events and celebrations
- 7Escort residents safely to and from activities
- 8Complete administrative duties including audits and program documentation
- 9Support cultural values of Passion Respect and Excellence
- 10Manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment
- 11Develop relationships and foster a sense of belonging among residents
Requirements6
- 1Minimum 18 years of age
- 2Proven ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- 3One year of relevant experience preferred especially with senior populations
- 4Strong interpersonal skills and patience
- 5Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- 6Dedication to delivering high quality resident centered care
