Overview
We seek a dedicated Activities Assistant to deliver engaging recreational and therapeutic programs for residents at Katzman Family Center for Living. You will design and coordinate activities ensure safety during outings and maintain accurate documentation of participant progress. What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement recreational therapeutic activities aligned with resident care goals
- 2Coordinate group activities special events and transportation logistics
- 3Supervise residents during outings and ensure safe transfers to community vans
- 4Document resident participation and progress using electronic health records
- 5Maintain facility cleanliness and organize activity spaces
- 6Assist with event planning and execution including concerts and holiday celebrations
- 7Foster positive relationships with residents through consistent engagement
- 8Collaborate with staff to improve program effectiveness and resident satisfaction
- 9Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all activities
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent minimum experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred
- 2Moderate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- 3Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- 4Minimum 1 year experience in residential care settings
- 5Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safely
