Accounting Clerk, Accounts Payable & Receivable
Overview
You will own the full-cycle accounting operations for NEXA, a fast-growing mobility solutions provider in Miami, managing A/P, A/R, and procurement across the organization. Working with the Controller and CFO, you will produce accurate financial reports and maintain compliance with GAAP. This role gives you direct exposure to the financial backbone of a technology company, impacting daily decisions and long-term strategy.
What You'll Do7
- 1Process daily A/P inbox transactions and post them to the accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate entry.
- 2Review payables and forecast upcoming cash needs to maintain liquidity for operations.
- 3Monitor A/R aging and follow up on overdue accounts to reduce outstanding balances.
- 4Provide cash flow forecasts based on A/R collection patterns to inform management decisions.
- 5Review open purchase orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and update inventory and delivery forecasts.
- 6Collaborate with the Controller and CFO to prepare periodic financial statements and budget reports.
- 7Ensure all entries comply with GAAP and support audit requirements.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
- 21-5 years of accounting experience, or entry-level with relevant coursework.
- 3Complete understanding of GAAP and its application to daily accounting tasks.
- 4Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- 5Experience with state, local, and government tax compliance.
- 6Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
