Accounting Assistant, Bilingual Spanish & Sage
Overview
Own daily financial operations for a metal plating company with a 120-year history. Report to the Controller and manage accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling. Process transactions in Sage and Visual Shop ERP. Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial records. Work 8am to 4:30pm onsite in Chicago near west side. Temp-to-hire role with a direct path to permanent.
What You'll Do6
- 1Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, receivable, invoices, and receipts.
- 2Process daily transactions including cash handling, check recording, and payment processing.
- 3Generate financial statements and reports for management review, including profit and loss statements.
- 4Reconcile accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- 5Support the Controller with administrative tasks and database management.
- 6Operate Sage and Visual Shop software for transaction processing and record keeping.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 2Prior experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
- 3Strong accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
- 4Proficiency with Sage or similar accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- 5Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 7Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Salary Insight
$48 - $50k per year
