Yard Associate, Construction Equipment & Logistics
Overview
Yard Associate owns stationing and retrieval of equipment on site, ensuring equipment meets specs and is accurately documented. You will maintain maintenance schedules, inspect gear before and after rental, and work with a safety-focused team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers on-the-job training and a clear path toward mechanic, driver, or customer service tracks. You’ll join a nationwide rental leader known for its extensive fleet and responsive service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build/Stack and relocate equipment on the lot to support daily rental demands
- 2Inspect equipment before and after rental and document losses or damages
- 3Maintain a written maintenance schedule and perform basic servicing as needed
- 4Assist customers and teammates with equipment selection and job site readiness
- 5Operate within a safety-focused culture and follow company procedures
- 6Support yard operations and equipment movement to meet schedule goals
- 7Conduct basic math calculations for inventory and billing
- 8Coordinate with supervisors to ensure equipment meets specs and readiness
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
- 3Some experience or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
- 4Ability to communicate effectively with customers both written and oral
- 5Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- 6General mechanical aptitude and safety-focused mindset
- 7Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location
- 8Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks
- 9Flexibility to work indoors/outdoors and in varying weather conditions
