Overview
Produce diagnostic radiographs under Radiologist direction at Duly Health and Care, a physician-led network serving over 1 million patients across Chicago suburbs. Operate x-ray equipment, position patients, and set exposure factors for optimal imaging. Work varied Monday-Friday shifts from 7am-8pm, plus every 5th weekend, with $2,500 sign-on bonus. What You'll Do9
- 1Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of body parts for diagnostic purposes, following Radiologist orders.
- 2Position patients on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of requested areas.
- 3Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
- 4Move x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjust controls for exposure factors like time and distance.
- 5Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- 6Obtain relevant patient history and maintain accurate records.
- 7Maintain the crash cart and stock inventory to ensure readiness for emergencies.
- 8Comply with OSHA regulations and assist with film quality control.
- 9Report to lead technologist for assignments and assist in expediting patient workflow, including evenings and holidays.
Requirements7
- 1Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus 6 months to 2 years of related experience or training.
- 2Must be AART registered or eligible and possess IDNS license.
- 3Hold CPR certification.
- 4Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 5Strong communication skills to explain procedures and reassure patients.
- 6Physical ability to position patients and operate imaging equipment.
- 7Team player who can accept constructive feedback and follow work rules.
