What You'll Do17
- 1Select appropriate welding method such as TIG MIG MAG or stick
- 2Plan and lay out work from blueprints using shop math and measuring instruments
- 3Set up and operate a conventional lathe for part preparation
- 4Properly identify materials and prepare components
- 5Perform assembly activities during production
- 6Execute welding repairs on raw and finished parts
- 7Install components based on technical drawings
- 8Complete all welding tasks according to operation instructions
- 9Verify finished work quality demonstrating deep understanding of specifications
- 10Meet production goals focusing on efficiency schedules and scrap reduction
- 11Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
- 12Collaborate with machinists and assemblers to solve repair and equipment problems
- 13Record accurate data on computer systems or manual logs
- 14Follow safety protocols wear protective equipment and complete required training
- 15Maintain clean organized workspace and clean machines and tools
- 16Carry out heat treatment operations as instructed
- 17Report to management regarding assignments and performance
Requirements13
- 1HS Diploma or GED and 0-2 years relevant experience
- 2Welding experience in manufacturing or repair environments
- 3Ability to discuss quality workmanship related to welding
- 4Standing for long periods repetitive arm motions and lifting up to 50 pounds
- 5Reliable attendance demonstrated track record ability to work overtime and weekends
- 6Positive attitude toward training and skill development
- 7Strong commitment to workplace safety following all policies
- 8Customer service mindset for on time delivery and quality work
- 9Independent flexible and accurate work style
