ASME Welder/Fabricator, Stainless Steel & Pipe Welding
Overview
You will weld and fabricate custom process cooling tanks and components to ASME Code standards for a global, employee-owned company. Morris & Associates builds process cooling equipment found in 50 countries, and your work will be central to every project. You will join a small fabrication team in Garner, NC, working 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday with Friday overtime as needed. This role stands out because you will own the weld quality on critical components and enjoy benefits like an ESOP and formal training support.
What You'll Do8
- 1Weld and fabricate tanks and components to ASME Code standards using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW techniques.
- 2Lay out, position, and fit up components prior to welding to ensure precision and alignment.
- 3Produce consistent, high-quality welds on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum in all positions.
- 4Interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and callouts to execute accurate welds.
- 5Operate oxy-acetylene flame and plasma cutting equipment to prepare and finish parts.
- 6Use grinders, sanders, and drills safely to finish and polish welds.
- 7Read and understand bills of material and charge material electronically using computer systems.
- 8Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Requirements8
- 12-5+ years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- 22+ years of ASME or related code welding experience.
- 32+ years of pipe welding experience with GTAW and SMAW preferred.
- 4High school diploma or GED required; formal welding training or certification a plus.
- 5Proficient computer skills for data input and electronic documentation.
- 6Ability to read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
- 7Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum welding in all positions.
- 8Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and available for 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday with Friday overtime.
