Weapon System Manager
Overview
Logistics Management Specialist for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases supporting the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). Candidate will boost interoperability with foreign partners and support warfighters while managing complex logistics from initial request to sustainment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Organize research of foreign government requirements
- 2Prepare Letters of Acceptance and estimate system life cycle costs
- 3Conduct technical reviews and analysis for Letters of Request
- 4Calculate manpower for FMS cases
- 5Develop unique FMS case notes
- 6Coordinate total package advanced planning for weapon systems using TPA sheets
- 7Vet release of equipment according to technology security and export controls
- 8Receive and process requisitions while forecasting congressional notifications
- 9Implement logistics programs for purchases transfers and leases of weapon systems
- 10Coordinate subcontractor and field service personnel to resolve logistics problems
- 11Compile data on part standardization and interchangeability
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 to 8+ years relevant experience
- 2Ability to solve highly sensitive and complex problems
- 3Capacity to prepare and brief senior management
- 4Effective communication across internal and external groups including government officials
- 5Strong organizational skills seeing both details and big picture
- 6Experience with diverse database systems
- 7Quality customer service meeting customer needs
- 8Familiarity with C5ISR systems such as radios and Night Vision Devices
- 9Military experience preferred
- 10Secret security clearance required with US citizenship
