Overview
Own the daily rhythm of inbound receipts, order staging, and outbound shipment accuracy at Wesco, a Fortune 250 supply chain leader. You'll verify products, capture order receipts, and pick, pack, and label orders while supporting dock loading and inventory counts. What You'll Do8
- 1Verify inbound products against documentation and enter order receipts into the warehouse management system within 24 hours of arrival.
- 2Sort orders and stage materials in designated bins or pallet locations to optimize picking routes and reduce travel time.
- 3Pick, pack, weigh, and label outbound shipments accurately, meeting daily volume targets of 150+ orders.
- 4Assist with truck loading during peak shifts, using manual jacks and following safety protocols to prevent damage.
- 5Assemble and disassemble warehouse fixtures such as bins, racks, shelves, and tables during layout reorganizations.
- 6Conduct weekly cycle counts on high-value SKUs and report discrepancies to the inventory supervisor.
- 7Execute customer-specific quality assurance inspections, checking product condition and packaging per client checklists.
- 8Provide counter sales support by greeting walk-in customers, processing will-call orders, and answering inventory questions.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferred but not mandatory.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for extended shifts (8+ hours).
- 4Basic problem-solving skills and familiarity with computers, including scanning devices and inventory software.
- 5Comfort working with hand tools and power equipment such as pallet jacks, shrink wrap guns, and box cutters.
- 6Flexibility to work scheduled shifts including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
- 7Willingness to learn and follow all safety and operational procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
