Overview
Adobe Animal Hospital seeks a skilled Veterinary Assistant to enhance patient care within a fast paced open hospital environment. What You'll Do11
- 1Direct workflow and advise owners on appointments and procedures
- 2Perform technical veterinary tasks with minimal supervision
- 3Assess patient status and execute veterinarian orders
- 4Interact with clients to gather histories and explain treatments
- 5Administer injections and draw blood samples
- 6Place IV catheters and monitor critical patients
- 7Evaluate radiographic images and interpret results
- 8Maintain department cleanliness and organize treatment areas
- 9Train new technicians and lead tasks professionally
- 10Promote positive client experiences and advocate for animal welfare
- 11Document patient care and update physicians on status
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 5+ years of veterinary technical experience
- 2Proficiency with Spark and Airflow for ETL pipeline development
- 3Ability to operate imaging equipment and conduct lab tests
- 4Strong communication skills for client and team interactions
- 5High school diploma and 18 years of age
- 6Physical stamina to lift 40lbs and stand for extended periods
- 7Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- 8Availability for occasional shifts at Los Altos Hospital
- 9Background check clearance required
- 10Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
